Overview

Affiliate Light add-on allows you to easily manage payouts, generate referral links, and track all the stats to measure your promo effectiveness. It is a simple solution which allows you to launch an affiliate program in your business fast and easy. Provide your affiliates with commissions for selling with a referral link or an affiliate coupon code!

Two methods are available for a partner to gain more referrals: * Promo Code; * Referral link.

Customers who use an affiliate’s promotional code become referral partners. Customers can receive discounts on order while making a purchase with promo code. Customers clicking on a referral link and signing up become referrals.

Compatibility

The add-on is compatible with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.5 and above, but only versions 4.11.x, 4.12.x and 4.13.x are supported.7.0 php version and above. PHP 7.1 and higher is required.

Managing in the admin area

Installing the add-on

Install the “Affiliate Light” add-on on the add-ons list page (“Addons” → “Manage add-ons”). Click the + button in the top right corner, select an archive and click Upload & install. You can now find the installed add-on in the list of installed add-ons, just make sure it is set to Active.

Setting up the add-on

Here are available settings of the Affiliate Light add-on. Fill in the license key in the License key field.

Managing the affiliate program

Four sections are available to the administrator In the admin panel: plans for affiliates, commissions, payouts and users.

Plans for affiliates

You can create a plan for affiliates under Marketing - Affiliates - Plans. Fill in the provided fields and configure it the way you need.

Set up the commission amount and the payout frequency (Always for all referrals’ orders or Once if you want to pay the commission only for the first order)

Commissions

A list of all commissions that the administrator should pay to the affiliates is available under Marketing > Affiliates > Commissions.

Note

The commissions are calculated from the product price only, tax and shipping rates are not calculated.

Payouts

On this page, you can see current payouts to affiliates. Payouts can have the Open (awaiting payout), Paid (successfully paid payout) or Rejected status.

Warning

The add-on does not make any money transfers from the administrator’s account to the affiliate’s one. All the payouts registered in the store are required as notes only. And the add-on does not allow to perform money transactions between the administrator and the affiliate.

You can find the list of users participating in the affiliate program in this section.

Managing affiliate promotions

There is a new condition Affiliate coupon code when creating a promotion. Use it for setting up a promo code with a discount on the order.

Then conigure the discount amount on the Bonuses tab.

Note

For all users, a promotional code starts with the prefix promo_ and ends with a user ID (for example, promo_3). The prefix can be changed in the add-on’s config.php file

What the affiliate will see

The main functionality of affiliates is available in the My Account → Affiliate menu.

Three pages are available for affiliate program users.

Affiliate payouts

On the Affiliate payouts page, the user can see the current balance and monthly amounts paid.

Statistics of conversions and promocodes

The affiliate may find all the information about conversions on this page. This makes the relations between the affiliates and the store administrator as transparent as possible.
