Overview

The Category Gallery add-on allows you to showcase a nice gallery with category images on any page you want. Two templates are available:

Scroller

Compatibility

The add-on is compatible with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.4.1 and above, but only versions 4.11.x, 4.12.x and 4.13.x are supported.

Managing in the admin panel

Installing the add-on

Install the Category Gallery add-on on the add-ons list page (Add-ons → Manage add-ons). Click the + button in the top right corner, select an archive and click Upload & install. You can now find the installed add-on in the list of installed add-ons, just make sure it is set to Active.

Creating a gallery

To create a category gallery:

Step 1. Adding images to categories

1. Go to Products > Categories. Select the necessary category.

2. Add an image for the category in the Images section.

Step 2. Creating a block in the page layout

1. Go to Design - Layouts.
2. Select the location where you want to add the gallery, for example, Homepage.

3. Click the + button to add a new block.

4. Select the Categories block.

5. Name the block and select the Grid or Scroller template.

6. Open the Content tab and select Manually from the Filling list. Click Add categories.

7. Pick categories you want to display in the gallery and click Add categories and close.

8. Add position for categories if you want to show them in a particular order. Click Create.
